WORKSHOP

The Private Equity Group offers a year-long advanced workshop. Designed to thoroughly train select students beyond what is covered in general member meetings, the program helps students prepare for and navigate the recruiting process.

Workshop members meet weekly to engage in lectures and discussions centered on private equity and private capital strategies including venture capital, growth equity, private credit, distressed debt, special situations, fund of funds, co-investments, and secondaries. Workshop also includes an Investment Banking workshop where we prepare members for banking interviews.

Joining PEG ensures you not only acquire valuable private equity and investing knowledge but also fosters an environment of lifelong friendship. Through engaging discussions, networking events, and collaborative projects, members form lasting bonds with others who share a passion for the industry.

The workshop will only accept applications in the fall and is currently led by Deyan Kassev and Nabil Kassam.

FAQs

  • Nope! We are not expecting applicants to have a ton of private equity knowledge - that’s what the workshop is for. But being able to talk about why you are interested would be great!

  • Interviews will consist of standard finance technical questions (including weekly general meeting content), behavioral and culture fit questions, and market-based conversations.

  • While internships in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or other paths that might feed into a private equity career are preferred, they are not necessary. We will be accepting applications for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
